The Collective, Realty is the proud recipient of the distinguished Best of Gay LA Real Estate Firm award from the Los Angeles Blade, and is helping to bring equality in homeownership to the LGBTQ community.

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 30, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — “The Collective is constantly working to bring equality in homeownership to all underrepresented communities in LA, and winning this award is just the beginning for us,” said Anthony Vulin, CEO and owner of The Collective, Realty, the only 100% gay owned medium to large firm in Los Angeles.

The firm recently received its award at the inaugural Best of Gay LA Awards, which benefited the Blade Foundation, whose mission is to fund enterprise journalism projects focused on LGBTQ and other underrepresented communities and to create scholarships for LGBTQ journalists. The award was bestowed upon the popular Collective, due to its excellent reviews, being promoters of equality in homeownership, and being advocates for the LGBTQ community.

Agents of The Collective are revered for lobbying for equality in homeownership locally, in Sacramento and in Washington, D.C. “Many of our agents serve on PREPALA.com, a non-profit organization of real estate professionals committed to promoting and advocating equal opportunities for homeownership and property rights within the LGBT community, and the National Association of Gay and Lesbian Real Estate Professionals, which is also a non-profit,” noted Vulin, who is also President of PREPA-LA.

LGBT people are not included in the Fair Housing Act, making it legal to discriminate against the LGBT community in many states. “These two altruistic organizations are fighting for the passage of H.R.1447, which would add sexual orientation and gender identity to be included in the Fair Housing Act,” concluded Vulin, who was named 2016 Realtor of the Year by the Beverly Hills Greater LA Association of Realtors.
